ENVIRONMENT CONSERVATION: ROLE OF NATURE/ECO CLUB
   
  A talk programme in the topic “Environment Conservation: Role of Nature/Eco Club” was organized jointly by the ‘Friends of Nature’ and ‘Gyan Niketan Secondary High School’ on January 3, 2007. About 100 participants from different Governmental Organizations, Non-governmental Organizations, International Non-governmental Organizations, Universities, Professionals, Schools, Students and Media were present as participant on this talk programme. Talk program was financially supported by SchEMS and RAN. Three speakers, Mr. Gopal Raj Joshi from Clean Energy Nepal (CEN), Mr. Subash Lohani from World Wild Fund for Nature Conservation (WWF) and Mr. Rishi Bastakoati from Resource Identification and Management Society (RIMS) gave speech on the topic based on the Nature/Eco club formed in their working area. Chief Guest of the program senior environmental journalist Mr. Bhairab Risal, emphasized on the role of Nature/Eco club for the conservation of environment. He added our past generation have handed over us the earth in good condition but we are not being able to handover the earth to our offspring in the good condition.
   
 
Wildlife Conservation: Rhetoric and Reality

A talk programme on the occasion of “Wildlife week, 2062 B.S.” in the topic “Wildlife Conservation: Rhetoric and Reality” was organized jointly by the ‘Friends of Nature’ and ‘ICA-Nepal’. About 110 participants from different Governmental Organizations, Non-governmental Organizations, International Non-governmental Organizations, Universities, Professionals and Media were presented as participant on this talk programme. Talk program was financially supported by WWF-Nepal and BISEP-ST. Three speakers, Dr. Tirtha Bahadur Shrestha, Mr. Surya Bahadur Pandey and Mr. Radha Krishna Shrestha gave the speech on the topic.
