POLLUTION MANAGEMENT

Pollution is ubiquitous characteristic of developing and under-developed countries. This is an undesirable change in the surrounding environment where people are interacting everyday.

Pollution has created a great problem which ultimately has detrimental effects on the environment, living organisms, and mankind.

For maintaining sustainable environment, preventive and corrective actions should go simultaneously. Acting locally could reduce the regional as well global environmental problems. This is why FON is working in pollution management through its Pollution Management program.

The major objectives of this program are:

•  To monitor the environmental components especially air, water and solid waste.

•  Develop sustainable environmental management system especially in solid waste management in highly populated area

•  To motivate and aware people to work locally at local level to reduce the environmental assessment

•  To help/assist industries to adopt EMS and QMS

•  To develop and promote technologies for pollution management
