Presentation on Cheer Pheasant

Presentation was made by Raju Acharya (Sharma), Coordinator, Biodiversity and Climate Change on “ Survey of Globally endangered Cheer Pheasant ( Catreus wallichi ) in lower Kaligandaki valley, Mustang , Nepal (2004)” in SchEMS hall.

Altogether 62 participants from university and school with staffs including Head of Academic of SchEMS participated in the programme.

In the presentation, Mr. Acharya focused on the conservation and the threats of Cheer pheasant. He also addressed the need to conserve it.

At the very moment, FON launched T-shirt with a picture of globally threatned Cheer Pheasant and a slogan “Lets' Survive Together.

He further informed that the benefit from the sale of T-shirt will be expended for the Cheer awareness campaign in Kali Gandaki Valley of Mustang District where cheer are found and threts by anthropogenic activities. Please order the quantity that you would like to support
