Friends of Nature (FON) has started to conduct various awareness programs in the schools of Kathmandu valley. Recently, the program was continued in two schools.

The program was initiated by Mr. Binod Ghimire, Coordinator, Conservation Education and Capacity Building . The need of environmental conservation to live in healthy environment was explained. The students were made known about the geo-physical structure and biodiversity of Nepal in brief.

Mr Surendra Gautam, Coordinator, Disaster and Public Health had followed the program giving introduction to the various components of environments explaining the types of environmental pollution in brief. The program was ended with a show of a documentary video on Manang and Mustang districts of Nepal .
